LOOM

Next mass is another morning.

Finish one campus. Geology waits. Attention does not.

Bind the selvedge and stop. “If time remains” is how a second shuttle runs through cloth already off the beam. Write the refusal over breakfast, while you still like yourself.

Milder weeks still need an edge

February can give palace walking without geology. Old Cairo plus one nave if courtesy still holds. Bab al-Khalq as its own downtown morning. The train north already billed you; Alexandria is a night in another city or it is not on the beam.

July owns one campus. Say Giza’s new house, or the square, or Fustat. Mean it. Sand will still be geology at dawn.

Cloth that has already left the beam. Cairo cannot weave it back on.

Two August campuses belong to people who train. A third is a story told in a taxi.

Notebook: a cousin, three campuses, one door, 22 August 2026

A cousin arrived with GEM, the plateau, and Tahrir before supper. Amr walked them from Champollion Street to one door — the old hall on the square — and sat on the pavement until the cousin admitted the list was yarn. They entered one house. They bound the edge at 12:40 with coffee that still tasted like coffee. Sand stayed geology. The Giza campus stayed a later date. Unas in the plate is the honest version of a sentence people tell themselves in August: we were already on the asphalt, so the next mass counts as remainder. Remainder, on this nail, is weft through finished cloth.

Eroded pyramid of Unas at Saqqara
Casing already gone. Cairo cannot weave it back on. A southbound hire is a map, not a second ticket.

Write the halt before the engine starts

Kilometres already driven are not credit toward another house. A campus that looks at the plateau through glass is still one house; sand keeps a separate clock and separate tickets. February air is more comfortable, not a coupon for two warps. A dawn landing and a midnight flight is still one pick: choose the house that fits the body you actually have. A bundle of museums plus a boat plus a smile is extra height. This desk does not throw that bundle. August cloth in this climate holds one house. Name it over breakfast and mean the period. Geology will wait. River light after vitrines is leftover colour, not permission to dress a second warp.

On 4 August the sitting in the old hall ended with coffee on Champollion Street. It did not continue to Bab al-Khalq on the theory that the walk home passes a door. Passing a door is not a house. Wood in Old Cairo and brass at Bab al-Khalq are two attentions; courtesy, not leftover minutes, decides whether a nave is even thinkable. A northbound ticket has already spent a looking. Sleep in Alexandria, or do not put that city on this beam. Deir el-Medina’s terraces live in another governorate. Southern rubble does not open a metal room Downtown. Downtown metal does not open a hush in Fustat.

Finished cloth at this desk hangs where everyone can see it, not in a pocket mixed with the next skein. If you only discover the stop after the car is moving, you are already arguing with a run. Write the halt before breakfast cools, including in weeks that feel merciful. Cooler air still unravels when pride adds height. Ambition is inexpensive. The looking is the house you declined to add.

What a bound edge looks like

February can give palace walking without geology. Old Cairo plus one nave if courtesy still holds. Bab al-Khalq as its own downtown morning. The train north already billed you; Alexandria is a night in another city or it is not on the beam. July and August own one campus. Say Giza’s new house, or the square, or Fustat. Mean it. Two August campuses belong to people who train. A third is a story told in a taxi. Amr will print a stop you can point at: pavement, 12:40, one house, sand unadded. Copy that shape onto another morning if the card names the edge before anyone starts the engine.

Dress the warp. Throw one pick. Bind the selvedge. Staff glass still outranks Champollion Street. We will not throw a second shuttle through cloth already cut from the beam.

From the beam

Why walk a cousin to one door instead of three?

The list was yarn. One house left a sentence. Three houses would have left a suitcase of captions.

Can Saqqara share the same southbound hire?

Sharing asphalt is a map. Saqqara keeps kilometres and a clock this pavement does not sell.

The campus fence looks at the plateau. Why not both?

A shared fence is still two houses. Sand keeps its own tickets. Dress one warp. Bind it.

Dawn landing, night flight — how many houses?

One pick. Choose the house that fits the body you have.

A seller bundled museums with a boat.

That bundle is extra height. Name one house over breakfast and mean the period.
